North East Fife Riding Club offer members a busy schedule of events (see below for details), which caters for all abilities. Use this page to find out when competitions are and download schedules. This page will also be updated with details of local events that may be of interest to NEFRC members.
We always need helpers to run our events, and if every member helped once during the year, it would make life much easier for the committee. Click here to see what kind of jobs we need helpers for.

Sunday 11th March: NEFRC Open Dressage Show at Ovenstone Equine.
Wednesday 25th April: Getting the jumps out. All hands on deck please - this is not just a job for the committee.
Friday 11th - Sunday 13th May: Area 22 Camp at Auchlishie, Kirriemuir.
Saturday 12th May: NEFRC Open Showing Show at the riding club field (Balcormo).
Sunday 27th May: Area 22 Horse Trials at Auchlishie. This will also include an unaffiliated 75cm class. Team members wanted so please let Claire know if you are interested on dewarclaire@hotmail.com or text 07934416581.
Wednesday 30th May: NEFRC Members only FREE SJ evening.
Sunday 10th June: NEFRC Open SJ Show at the riding club field (Balcormo).

Wednesday 11th July: ODE preparations - helpers required please.

February 2012Sunday 12th February: Arena Event at Howe Country Centre.
Saturday 18th February: Combined Training competition at Gleneagles equestrian.

Sunday 26th February: SERC Tayside is running its first event of the year at Tentsmuir forest. There will be a pleasure ride of approx 20km and a competitive ride of 30km. This is a lovely ride through the forest, is completely off road and uses grassy tracks where you can have a long canter. Its a great fittening ride before riding club season starts. Entry forms are on the SERC Tayside website.
March 2012Friday 2nd & Saturday 3rd March: After the success of the inaugural practical first aid talk, held in September 2011, Loch Leven Equine Practice are launching a series of useful hands-on sessions throughout 2012. The first two sessions are set to take place on Friday 2nd March from 12.30pm-2.30pm and Saturday 3rd March from 10am-12noon and each session is open to both clients and non-clients. The first aid courses are hosted by our qualified equine vet nurse, Lynsey McKay who says "It's a very friendly interactive hands-on course which covers all basic first aid from taking pulses to bandaging correctly. We will also look at the structures of the lower leg, where and what to look for when assessing lameness and how to deal with different emergency situations." The first two courses will take place at the Loch Leven Equine Practice, near Kinross. Refreshments will be provided and tickets are priced at just £10 per person.
